Washing up Liquid may damage your Cars Paintwork

Using washing up liquid to clean your car may end up doing more harm than good.

According to experts, the ammonia and bleach found in the liquid can break down the wax that was applied to the car to protect the paintwork in the first place.

As soon as that protective layer is damaged, the cars paint could become duller and in worse cases may even begin to crack. While many don’t use washing up liquid to clean their cars exterior, a UK study has suggested that up to 43% of car owners still do.

While there are now numerous car cleaning products on the market at the moment, most of an affordable and high quality, it may be time to leave the washing up liquid to the kitchen.
